Back in 1985
Only some of you were alive
And I saved the princess from a large turtle guy

But either way, I felt so alive!

And several games came afterwards
Like Galaxy and 3D World
And every game, I keep saving my one girl
But I think that she's getting cheap
I just get kisses on the cheek
Nothing else has ever crossed her mind...

It's polite to say thanks when I save the whole world

What did they do to acknowledge me?

No one else volunteered to save all galaxies
You should be bowing down to me
I do all the work here, you see?
And I am never given a break

3D Land, 3D World, 64, and Sunshine
Every game, I save your butts all the time
You act like you were saved by a phenomenon
You weren't it was me all along!

Hey Mario, I know it's tough
Not being thanked for all your stuff
But think what it's like as the younger, greener duff
I was just given a mansion
I ridded it from ghosts within
And no one even acknowledged me
