Orthography and Scriptography
The written language of Mindovan focuses primarily on a constant flow of lines and shapes that connect from one to the next, representing the intricate connections and harmony between the roots that connect all species together.
All characters are written either above or below a horizontal line, called the sentence bar. The script and characters of Mindovan are made up of lines, swirls, curves, and angles. The type of shape used in a script and its placement will determine what sound it makes.
- Curves above or below the sentence bar represent consonants
- Circular curves represent labial sounds
- Pointed curves represent dental sounds
- Square curves represent velar sounds
- Consonants above the sentence bar represent unvoiced consonants
- Consonants below the sentence bar represent voiced consonants
- Consonants both above and below the sentence bar with the sentence bar at its base represent nasal consonants
- Consonants with with no sentence bar at is base represent plosives
- Consonants with the sentence bar at its base represent fricatives

Morphology
The Grimsmors are a very logical people, and don't like adding new things unnecessarily. As such, they have a rigid system of morphology where a single base word carries one meaning, but its function in a sentence is determined by its prefixes and suffixes. For example, the base fud represents a drink, but the word fuda means "beverage," fudu means "to give drink to," and nfudu means to drink.
