Plainsworth "P1" Rockbell [PLAYNZ-werth (pee-WUN) ROK-bel] is one of the two main protagonists of the Star Guardians series, along with his younger brother Percy.

History and origin

Plainsworth "P1" Rockbell was originally from the Greedbag Kingdom until he and his brother Percy moved to the Mertzen Region to act as mercenaries against an evil scientist named Slasher. Throughout his and his brother's adventures, they have travelled across the Starverse and developed many relations.

In the first few installments of the Star Guardians series, P1 had little lore or backstory and was simply a flat protagonist character who would find himself in the world in problems he would have to solve. Often, these problems would be caused by his archenemy, Slasher. In the first installment, he and his brother would simply travel through different worlds and biomes to reach Slasher's castle, akin to many children's 2D platformer games, like Super Mario. In Time Shock, they would do the same thing but traveling through different time periods instead to reach an apocalyptic future. It wasn't until Sacred Jewels that some lore about him began to unfold, notably he and his brother's apprenticeship under the Guardian of Courage, Johannes Mertzen. Even then, the backstory behind that wouldn't have been more fully revealed until The Seven Sources, when installments in the series began to be considered "canon" (however that can be applied for a series that was abandoned). Although Greedbag Heist was intended to share more backstory behind the Rockbells' origin, its unfinished and abandoned state brought very little to the lore of the series, besides introducing a few characters and reinforcing Plainsworth's home country of the Greedbag Kingdom.
