'Paper Mario Color Splash with Lyrics'

Way back in 2000 came the great Paper Mario
Yeah, the writing was okay, and its plot was just so-so
But 16 years and two months later, came out Color Splash
The whole thing made me wanna laugh
No, it wasn’t that it’s bad, it was surprisingly good
But when they wrote the script for it, they went way overboard
With the humor and the puns and the verbal irony
The whole game’s just hilarity!

And that is when it hit me
That things don’t have to be
Good with a plot
Or mechanics
Or new things and characters
As long as something is funny
Everyone will love it
It’s perfect!
That’s what gets the money now

So excuse me for a sec while go crank out some puns
The muscular man was kicked out the airport ‘cause his guns
And the green grocer quit his job, why is that? Well you see
He made quite a low celery
If a guy plainly showed a list of cargo at a fest
He would be a man at fest manifesting manifests
And I sent 10 of my jokes to a good comedian
Unfortunately, no pun in ten did

Wow, my dislikes are blowing up bigtime, how could this be?
I think that it could be the jokes, but who hates comedy?
How in the world did Color Splash pull off this kinda thing?

I don’t understand how it could be funnier than me
That’s pretty much all the stuff I that said previously
There must be something else that made this game enjoyable
Definitely not the battles
Could it be the plot or characters or level design?
Could it be the Things and items or the quests on the side
NO! I know what it is, it’s a great Paper Mario
