Rose
Roses are the main currency of Savare, used primarily in Primitive Kingdom - The Savarian Heist.
History and Origin
Roses are rare flowers that sprout in the continent of Savare. Savare, being primarily made of rock and stones, don't often see flowers blooming, so its residents are entranced by its beauty. During the events of sentience in The Savarian Heist, residents got so entranced by their beauty that they became obsessed with having them over the things they had. They had soon started trading in exchange for Roses and turning them into an economy.
General Description
Roses are simple flower buds that populate the areas of Savare. They have pink-red petals with green leaves.
Variants
Roses come in different variations, each with their own monetary value. Red Roses are worth 1 Rose, purple are worth 5, and white are worth 10. There also exist Golden Roses, which count as their own separate item, and can be bought and sold for varying prices depending on where it is bought or sold. These variants can also be used for cooking rarer, high-end recipes.
Development
Creation and evolution
The monetary system for Primitive Kingdom: The Savarian Heist went through various stages before ultimately becoming the Rose. Initially, when Primitive Kingdom was Star Guardians, the currency system remained the same throughout all Star Guardians projects: Diamonds. When the very first playable prototype of Star Guardians and Primitive Kingdom was made on RPG Maker, the currency then changed to Gold, for no other reason than to adhere to the default currency in that program. Eventually, when the first official build of Primitive Kingdom started going into development, moving from RPG Maker to Godot, Adam DeVoix wanted to give the currency a more unique flair that would be exclusive to the Primitive Kingdom series. He created two designs of the same idea: a 2D sprite and a 3D model, of what a coin would look like in the kingdom of Savare, as seen below. Then, when it was determined that the universe in Primitive Kingdom should be the very first society in the universe, it wouldn't make sense for coins to already be in circulation, so Adam came up with the idea of exchanging flowers for currency, as their beauty would be coveted by many Savarian residents.
