Snallbourg is a miscellaneous series of characters and slice-of-life events with no overarching plot. It takes place in the town of the same name. It was initially developed in the summer 2025 when Adam redesigned some of his older characters and didn't want to let them fall into obscurity. He created Snallbourg as a way to keep his miscellaneous characters and just write events and interactions between them.

Development

Snallbourg was developed in 2025 as an outlet that Adam can assign characters without a specific role, history, or series to. It was originally created so he could save all of his characters from the DeviantArt "Flipline NextGen" trend (an alternate universe fan-fiction of Flipline Studios' Papa's games) without attaching an existent IP to them. By creating the Snallbourg universe, these characters have gone from being based on Flipline Studios to being completely original, with any necessary changes being made.

Comparison to Plainwood

Snallbourg can be considered the analogy, counterpart, or even parallel universe of Plainwood. Both are small villages in the mountains where everybody knows each other. The communities are both small and tight-knit, and every business in both towns are local. Both towns also share some residents too, such as Kendell or Bo Adebowale, or even alternate versions of Eileen Pritchett (Aileen Brichard) and Vivian Fay (Vi Fleur).

Unlike Plainwood, Snallbourg does not take place in Sinister Earth and is instead a simple town in a normal universe with no alternate timelines. As such, there are no hidden taboos, dedication to spirits or demons, or aversion of the left hand, nor any events that would have caused such things to develop. Although Plainwood is its own unrecognized city-state, Snallbourg is a city within an unspecified part of the Earth. Both Plainwood and Snallbourg have a strong local government, but Plainwood is run by three may ors at the same time, and Snallbourg is only run by one.

Snallbourg has no official connection to Plainwood by lore, and anything that happens with characters or events common between the two do not affect the other town in any way.

Etymology

Snallbourg comes from the Swedish snäll (kind) and bourg (town).
