I thought I was a normal kid
But then it changed ‘cause a half-giant named Hagrid
”You’re a wizard Harry,” he said
He sent me to Hogwarts and made me go ahead

I entered where they were sitting
The Sorting Hat sat by Dumbledore
It said that I’d be Slytherin
But then…

It told me “no, well if you are sure
You’d be better in Gryffindor”
And that’s when the Sorting Hat switched it
I don’t belong in Slyth’rin
Met Hermione and Ron
As well as Neville Longbottom
I was introduced to Dumbledore
And chosen for Gryffindor

Several periods had passed
We had broomstick lessons, finally, at last!
It was a such a great time for me
I felt such happy emotions
it was better than potions

Got into a fight with Draco
And we flew up using our broomsticks
Then Professor McGonagall came, oh
And then…

She watched me fly up into the sky
That’s the moment where she’d decide
She told me to sign up for Quidditch
Where I’ll catch the snitches
I am their new seeker
With my name coming from loudspeakers
The crowd was making such a racket
Almost gonna catch it!
