Inspiration and Creation
Lexi was originally created for the sole purpose of the Flipline Studios character creation contest, Kingsley's Customerpalooza 2016, where participants would create characters using a given character creator app and submit them. Other users would vote on characters, and the top voted would be put into a tournament bracket to eventually be used as a new character in their newest game. Adam DeVoix had been participating in this contest since it started, but this specific year, he was exceptionally dedicated to designing the best character he could. He even had de facto focus groups among his friends and family to see what designs they liked the best. Of them, Lexi had the highest ratings. And that wasn't just for his friends and family. When he eventually submitted the character officially, Lexi had continually received an average of a 5 on a 5-star rating scale as the contest was going on. Lexi eventually made it to the brackets, but lost on the first round. Disappointed as Adam was, he was happy to even see her make it in the brackets, among hundreds or thousands of other submissions.
Since then, Adam didn't want the character of Lexi to go to waste, and he later reused her as a character in the Star Guardians series. First appearing in two blog posts written by him about the daily life in the Starverse and soon appearing in 2017 in Damsel in Distress, where she became the antagonist of the installment's Chapter 10. Since then, Lexi had not been used for any other project, besides a few full body drawings here and there. At the time of creating this article, 19 June 2026, Adam added her to the Snallbourg universe, where she could stay as a character with no role or plot arc.
Design
Etymology
Lexi has no apparent etymology, although Adam found the name to be fitting for her arrogant and superficial character. The same reasoning came with her last name, Starr, as a reference to star, meaning a famous person or a diva.
Profiles
Lexi is the incredibly rude model who used to work for the Hackys. When she was employed by them, she was always breaking rules or being rude. However, during the interview, she was very nice. She uses this tactic to get whatever she wants. When Kevin and Liza had gotten enough of her antics, they finally fired her and replaced her with Naima, a very nicer person. Lexi is still angry about this moment, and plans to get revenge on the Hackys. Coincidentally, at the time she was fired, Myra was looking for an evil partner. Now the two are best of friends, and evilest of duos.
