Eileen Pritchett (eye-LEEN PRITCH-itt) is one of the main characters of the Sinister Recluse series.
History and origin
General description
Eileen is often described by many Sinister Recluse characters as having a bland and forgettable appearance, even the narrator of the series, Nat Aberdeen, comparing her to a gust of wind that appears and then immediately leaves, forgotten. Eileen's favorite color is grey and will often wear grey clothing, such as sweatshirts or T-shirts. Her outfit choice is comfort over fashion, and will even go into work wearing a standard grey T-shirt and torn jeans. In her official artwork, she is wearing a grey T-shirt with a small red heart on it and a pair of dark blue torn jeans. Eileen has auburn hair and is of Vietnamese descent. Her eyes are brown and have purple bags underneath them, often from her lack of sleep and hyperfocus on her obsessions. Her hair is messy in the front, but she keeps her long flowing hair in the back tied up in a braid.

Personality
Eileen prides herself on her intelligence and analytical skills, as she can often predict the plot twists of the mystery podcasts she listens to by the end of the first or second episode. She loves to challenge her brain by doing crossword puzzles in her spare time, but gets bored by doing the same things over and over again.
Eileen is a reserved personality and especially hates to initiate conversations and social interactions. When it comes to social situations, she tends to need an emotional buffer to keep her grounded and to do the heavy lifting. Among the friends Eileen does have, Eileen is comfortable around them and loves to joke around with them, often by telling sarcastic one-liners.
Eileen is a stark skeptic of Sinisters, demons who are referenced many times in the Sinister Recluse series. She always claims that stories about them are all "bull" and that people who believe in them are adhering to a herd mentality that is keeping them from thriving and meeting their potential. As such, she is a stark proponent of teaching her students critical thinking skills, where they can evaluate the truth of situations for themselves, rather than relying on the fear of social consequences or demonic possession. This mentality tends to get her into trouble with the mayors of Plainwood and with her friends, but her independent personality keeps that from being a problem to her.
