'Transmission from Cam
What’s up, everyone! Cam here. While our own Dex is going out to time periods uncharted and seeing what our Primondia was like in its early years, I’ve taken it upon myself to stay here in VulpesVespa studios and do some digging and researching in the comfort of my own office. It’s perfect here! I got my little mouse toy, the comfiest throw pillow to lay on, and all the peace and quiet a Kropse can ask for!
So, y’all remember in the introductory post when I mentioned the possibility of alternate timelines frozen in some sort of temporal stasis? Well, in the lay terms: time periods that existed in the past but are no longer being updated. Well, I’ve been really hooked on this whole Starverse universe, so I figured that’s the first place to start.
Now, a little bit of a disclaimer: because this whole universe is frozen in time, there’s actually no way for me to interact with it on my own, besides watching it from a distance. That also means that I can’t talk to any of the locals and ask them about what happened. But my goal here is to piece together everything there is to know about this place and eventually add it all to Dex’s encyclopedia.
I figured I’d start the same place that Dex is starting: at creation. And you’ll never guess what I found! An ancient, never-before-seen text that provides me the lore for all I need to know about the creation of this Starverse and its mythology. It’s old and ratty, yes, and it looks like it was scrawled sloppily onto a collection of notebook paper a decade and a half ago, but the people here take this text super seriously! In fact, it lays the foundation for the belief system in this world, which the locals know as Stelleism. It seems very similar to Primondia’s own Primationism, but is slightly different and is more reminiscent of ancient Greek and Roman gods. These gods in Stelleism are called Star Guardians (or Ancient Mages if you wanna be formal), and they each control a different aspect of the world, such as courage, life, time, and balance. I can get into more of that later, but for now, let’s crack open this sacred text and see what it says!
Well. That was underwhelming. And it just stops not even midway through? Gah, this text must have been lost in some accident. Or maybe its scribe just got lazy. It’s too bad this universe doesn’t update anymore; otherwise, maybe they’d finally finish this text. Still, it was a great eye-opening experience, and maybe if I find enough information, I can finish my own restored version of it! I wonder what this Starshine person had to do with the Starverse. Well, I’ll keep digging and let you all know.
